Quality education is the key to recruiting and retaining good jobs in Tennessee. Employers desire an educated, motivated workforce to build their businesses. In our local schools, technology centers and colleges and universities, it is imperative we give our educators the funding, technology and resources to effectively teach our children and train our citizens. This will prepare our communities with a larger, more prepared workforce and a brighter future.

• I oppose any effort to create a state income tax and any effort to create or raise 
   taxes.

Enhancing Our Farming Community
• Continue to provide low-interest loans for our farmers through the Tennessee     
   Agricultural Enhancement Program.
• Capital investment allows our farmers to adapt to a changing market place and    
   increase farm effciency.

Conservation
• Protecting our clean water resources.
• Planning to preserve our natural beauty and resources while still being able to
   grow and prosper as a community.
